Local Leader, Clint Owlett, Announces Run for PA State Rep
Republican Clint Owlett, a community leader from Tioga County, has announced that he is officially seeking the position for state representative of the 68th District of Pennsylvania, which was recently vacated by Republican State Rep. Matt Baker.
“Throughout the years, I have been able to gain experience in multiple areas of business, agriculture and community service. I am passionate about representing and improving the lives of our people and their children. This involvement has turned me into the man I am today – prepared to serve all of the people in the 68th District of PA.” Clint brings a high level of energy and real-world experience to the State Rep. political race. He looks forward to the opportunity to serve the people of Pennsylvania with his wife, Lauren, and four children by his side.
Born and raised on a dairy farm in Tioga County, Clint Owlett lives and breathes the values of Pennsylvania’s 68th district. Clint currently works as a subcontractor with Black Creek Enterprise in Liberty, PA. He graduated from New Covenant Academy in Mansfield, PA in 2001 and then went on to study and work at Three Springs Ministries. Clint served nine years at Three Springs Ministries and worked in multiple arenas. As the Director of Program Development, Clint had to raise his monthly support. His love for Christ pushed Clint to work hard and dedicate his time to serving the youth. It was during this time, Clint knew he wanted to ultimately serve people.
Clint has also worked with his family’s store, owned by his father, Craig Owlett, the Owlett’s Sunshine Farm Market in Wellsboro, PA as well as other local companies. In 2012, he started his own construction and decorative concrete business. His success led him to the subcontracting work he does today. He currently serves on the New Covenant Academy School Board, as well as a leader in the Wellsboro Bible Church. Clint is an avid hunter and fisher, especially when it comes to spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys volunteering his time with the kids sporting events and activities.
“From the opioid crisis to our struggling dairy industry to creating more jobs in our area, I plan to get directly involved and take action for the sake of our communities and our children. As the great Ronald Reagan once said, ‘Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream.
